Dolores Project: Project stage – Discovery

An altered and mineralized tonalite porphyry exposed over an area measuring 1.8 km by 1.0 km discovered by Zincore’s exploration team in 2008. The target is located only 2.0 km east of the main Yanque deposit.
The mineralized porphyry has a strong quartz vein stockwork with copper oxides in veinlets. Initial sampling returned values up to 2.3% copper and 1.0 g/t gold.
The southern contact of the intrusive with limestone has been altered to copper bearing garnet skarn.
Limited sampling by Zincore’s team returned copper values in the 1.0% range from the skarn and up to 1.0 g/t gold from vuggy silica alteration.

2010 Program:

Detailed mapping, rock chip and soil sampling, geophysical surveys and drilling are planned as soon as the on-going negotiations for an access agreement are completed. The geophysical survey will consist of magnetic, radiometric and IP aimed at covering both the porphyry and skarn target areas.
